Frequently Asked Questions
When should I apply?
As soon as possible! We only have limited roles in China so therefore apply as soon as you can to give yourself the best chance to get a role you want.
Do I need to apply for my own Visa?
No, we do all that for you! All we need you to do is fill out some forms and then send them over to us!
Do I have to pay anything to go out there?
The only thing you will have to pay for is your DBS, this is essential for working with us. If you are signed up already to the DBS Update Service then all you need to do is send us over your details.
Do I need any prior experience in childcare?
Experience is desirable but not essential. We provide full training for all our staff to ensure you are confident with delivering the programme.
How much money do I need to take with me?
Not much! We pay for a lot of your expenses so you do not need to bring much money with you. Although we do advise you to bring some money so you can do some fun activities on your weekends!
What do I need to pack?
We will provide you with uniform tops to wear whilst you are working so you just need to pack some clothes for the weekend. China is warm so therefore light clothing is advised.
How old are the campers?
The majority of campers are between 7-12.
Do I need to speak Mandarin/Chinese to work in China?
Of course not, our friends in China hire staff to translate for us if needed!
What is the uniform?
We provide you with uniform tops but we ask that our staff wear dark bottoms, sports leggings or shorts and sturdy training shoes. They should not wear denim or casual leggings, ugg boots, flip flops, hiking boots or little pumps etc.
If I want to travel do you advise a suitcase or backpack?
If you are planning on travelling after camp then we advise taking a backpack with you as it is easier to carry around.
What if I don’t want to travel after camp?
That is absolutely fine, you don’t have to travel! We can arrange travel home after camp finishes.
